Hello parents and students of Parker Middle School. I am Principal Eric Mitchell. I am humbled and excited to join this school family. Just a little about me. I am a product of this school district, a graduate of Southern Nash High School. I graduated from North Carolina A & T State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics. I then began my teaching career in the Halifax County School district. While teaching, I earned a Master in School Administration/Supervision from East Carolina University. I worked in that district for 12 and half years prior to joining Nash County Public Schools in an administrative role. My passion as Principal of Parker Middle School is working with students, staff, and parents to produce students that will reach their potential as citizens. I look forward to working with all stakeholders as we educate and shape young minds for the future.
Hello students, parents, and extended Pirate Family. My name is Tesha Dixon, I am from Rocky Mount, NC and a product of Rocky Mount City Schools. I am excited to be joining the Parker Middle School family as the Assistant Principal. After graduating from Rocky Mount Senior High, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in English from East Carolina University. I began teaching English at Red Oak Middle School in 2001. I taught for fifteen years during which time I earned a Master of Arts in Reading Education and a Masters of School Administration from East Carolina University. I have continued to work with NRMPS serving as an Assistant Principal at Edwards Middle School and Southern Nash High School.I enjoy reading, creative planning and creating things using yarn. I am proud to have a loving and supportive family that I enjoy spending time with. I am a lifelong learner and continue to seek opportunities to grow professionally. I believe all students can learn and as educators the goal is to ensure plus provide the best instructional means for student success. I look forward to learning and growing with the Parker Middle School Family and Community.
