This is my 18th year in Nash County Public Schools. I have had the pleasure of working with different teachers, students, and families from all over Nash and Edgecombe counties. I believe every school can get a little bit better, and by putting students first, setting high expectations, and working together, that is exactly what we are going to do. I believe the most important people on our campus are our students. We must constantly strive to develop a student-centered environment where all decisions are based on the best interest of our students and not what is most convenient for adults.  It is my goal to create an open, accepting, flexible, and transparent environment that encourages students and staff to be open to feedback, ready to try new things, and willing to fail. I don't believe in quitting or giving up! If students and staff work hard, don't make excuses, and are held accountable, they can achieve anything they set their minds to. In order to successfully reach a goal, you can't be interested in your goal; you have to be committed to it. This means working together, respecting our differences, and giving 100% even if we don't get any of the credit. I can't wait to meet and get to know each of the Pirate community individually.
